RIFLE. Cal. 30 U.S.G. (30-06.). S# 527 (on bottom of action). Matching numbers on bolt, extractor & 24" bbl. Pinned blade front sight & folding leaf rear sight. Barrel markings include: "PARKERIZED / RUSTLESS FINISH", 'PATENT'S PENDING" & "MADE IN U.S.A. / BUFFALO NEWTON RIFLE CO. / NEW HAVEN CONN / 30 U.S.G.". Mauser style action w/ stripper clip guide, patent magazine spring system & the mag. floorplate utilized for takedown. Dog leg bolt handle. Double set triggers; front is set & will not fire until front trigger is cocked. Checkered walnut schnabel tipped stock w/ steel grip cap, recoil lug & curved steel buttplate. CONDITION: over 80% original blue showing wear to mag. floorplate, bolt handle & trigger guard along with scattered handling marks. Very good wood finish with varnish bubbles throughout, light marks around mag. floorplate, mildew spots & scattered deep marks. Buttplate shows areas of pitting. Good bore shows deep rifling.
